Lomefloxacin hydrochloride (Maxaquin®) is a quinolone antibiotic, used to treat bacterial infections including bronchitis and urinary tract infections. It is also used to prevent urinary tract infections prior to surgery. It is taken orally, usually daily for 10-14 days.
